Dear Common Awakening Community, 

We’ve just come back from the holiday season, and I guarantee that you may have encountered a small tiff with someone you love. It wouldn’t be the holiday season without one!

This week Mary delightfully and humorously shares an exceptional ‘woo’ experience that occurred following a spat with her husband. She describes how this small fight actually provided her the expansion she needed to enter into a state of Suspension. Just as a sidenote, at Common Awakening, our goal is for all of us to enter a state of Suspension that happens when everything feels spacious, seamless, silent, soft, sharp and very still. It’s the very opposite of what you’d expect from a disagreement! Yet, Mary found herself entering this space through the passageway of a moment of difficulty. 

 What I love about Mary’s story (aside from the fact that we can all relate!) is that she describes a moment of decision that is essential to an exceptional experience. She chose whether she would sit and ruminate about the spat or whether she would spiritually reposition. Her decision made the difference.
