This week we invite you to join a living practice from our book, Energetic Awakening: Living a Guided Life (p. 18-19)

 "Enter into a parable about a seed and a sower. 

The context: Jesus is teaching from a boat with a large crowd gathered by the shore. His first word at the beginning of the parable is, “Listen!” and his closing clap of words, “Let anyone with ears to hear, listen!

Feel even now the movement of these words, the reverberation of “listen” throughout your being. This is sparking, an energetic movement that is making its way to call forward the soul seed within.

Jesus paints the picture of seeds that fall upon the earth—some struggling to take root and grow in shallow, cracked soil. Others, burrowing deeper and deeper, soaking in the nutrients of sun, and water, and flourishing into living plants. 

 So it is with soul seeds that lie dormant within you. It is awareness of how the sparks—the call to pay attention— to take notice of what life is bringing your way, that open the rich good earth of soul abundance. 

Hold awareness of Jesus’s words. The spark of opening in the call to listen breaks through the chattering voice in your head—the part of you that is busy making lists and piling up worries. 

1. Feel how the crack, the opening of “Listen!” serves to make you pause, to wait, and watch. 
2. From this opening, notice how the words settle deeper within and outside the understanding of your mind. You may not even understand what that story was about. 
3. Feel how something settles and opens within you. This is the essence of energetic movement beyond the mind. 
4.  Feel how you are the soil: 
5. Feel your life as the ground to plant in. How receptive are you in your life?
   1.  Reflect: Can the energetic sparking movements get through? You may begin to feel the soil of your life and begin to relate with it in new ways, maybe as parched, cracked, sparse, or loamy. You are feeling within the movement of energy and it is showing you something experientially.
   2.  What is breaking apart something formed so that energy can come through? 
   3. Have you made space for the depth of the rich, good earth to invite you to live more fully into something more, an awaiting abundance and fullness?"
