In the 1600's the standard combat technique was rank and file fighting. One day a soldier had a stroke of genius to tell his comrades that if they went out into the open field and couldn't see the enemy, then the enemy couldn't see them. 

You may wonder how this is tactical or strategic! This shift in technique was the innovative foundation for the development of camouflage or how to remain hidden in plain sight!

Our spiritual gifts, signs and 'hits' parallel the camouflage metaphor. We stay in spiritual rank and file order and continue to go back to the same techniques over and over again for wisdom, guidance and spiritual growth.

Only when we shift our position and perception do we discover what was hidden in plain sight is now plain as day.

This week may we step our of line from what we think we know and step into what we don't know.

How? It begins with awareness. Take 3 steps. 

• First, start with acknowledging that you see through a glass dimly.
• Second, say 'yes' to seeing, hearing and knowing what is hidden in plain sight.
• Third, wait, watch and see what unfolds before you.
